Be Understood

There's something special about being understood.

It can be tricky to explain your OCD experiences to someone else. Your thoughts are not silly, strange, or shameful to someone who knows how OCD works.

Many struggle to find a clinician who can really understand their OCD.

Chart

Not all treatments have been tested as equal.

It’s tempting to think OCD is just like any other anxiety disorder. But it’s not that simple. Many approaches that work for other issues haven’t been tested thoroughly for OCD.

Some therapeutic approaches are more effective than others.

Ribbon

You deserve the gold-standard approach.

There is strong evidence for Exposure and Response Prevention therapy and certain medications (and there are other options after you’ve tried these).

There are therapists and doctors who are great at this.
